Privacy Policy for Extract PDF Images
Last updated: May 27, 2026
Extract PDF Images is a Chrome extension that lets a user select a PDF file, extract embedded images from that PDF, or render PDF pages as images, and download the result as a ZIP archive.
Data handling
The extension processes PDF files selected by the user locally in the browser.
The extension does not send PDF files, extracted images, rendered pages, or file contents to the developer's servers or to third parties.
The extension does not collect account information, contact information, authentication information, financial information, health information, location, web history, or user activity data.
Anonymous analytics
The extension sends anonymous usage events (such as install, open, and export completed) to a self-hosted analytics server operated by the developer (Umami). These events contain no personally identifiable information, no file names, and no file contents. No cookies are used. Data is not shared with third parties.

Storage and retention
The selected PDF data and generated files are handled in memory during processing.
The extension does not upload or share this data and does not intentionally retain it after processing is complete, except for the files the user explicitly chooses to download to their own device.
Data sharing
The extension does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
